What is the Register Round Up Program?

Loose change really adds up! Our Co-op’s Register Round Up is another way we are supporting our local community. This simple giving opportunity empowers our customers to round-up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to our chosen recipient or non-profit.

Register Round-Up Application

 An application must be submitted for consideration with the necessary documentation:


--non-profit organization mission statement;

--primary objective for proposed project or activity, how it fills a need not met by others, how it will improve the business, social or surrounding environment, the population to be served;
--an IRS notification letter sustaining your current 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status;
--an outline of plans for acknowledging our contribution.

 

Applications can be completed online or paper applications can be picked up in-store. 

 

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Register Round Up applications are reviewed quarterly. In order to have an application considered, please submit a complete application by the first (1st)of January, April, July, or October.

 

ELIGIBILITY:

--Organizations must have non-profit exempt status.
--Your organization cannot advocate, support, or practice unlawful discrimination based on religion, national origin, sex, disability, or sexual orientation.

--Your organization cannot be a political or religious organization.
--Your organization has not received funds from Co-opportunity
--Organization representative must-attend the annual meeting in October. 

Dec '19 & Jan '20 Recipient: Cooperative Community Fund (CCF)

The donations collected at the register went to our Co-op’s Cooperative Community Fund. Our CCF fund is used to donate cash grants to local non-profits and cooperatives. Growing our CCF fund means more to give to local non-profits.

Round Up Results

Thank you for your donations. Everyone’s effort helped raise $5,585 dollars! Special thanks to Equal Exchange and Frontier Co-op for adding matching funds. The December and January donations benefited the Co-op's Cooperative Community Fund.

The matching campaign has ended but we are still doing the round up at the register for the CCF Fund.
